The son of Paul and Anna (Hill) Ennis, Steve was born in Bennington on Feb. 24, 1965. He attended Sunderland Elementary School and was a 1983 graduate of Arlington High School. For many years he had worked as a lineman for Verizon. After leaving the company he established a lawn care business serving many customers throughout the area with his quality work. He also enjoyed fishing for King Salmon. He loved hunting deer, especially in Maine where he had bagged several big bucks and duck hunting with his trusty old black lab, Zeus. Steve was an avid horseshoe player and enjoyed country music. In the winter in addition to plowing, he loved to make maple syrup with his brother and father at the family sugar house. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 69, Arlington. Steve leaves his parents, Paul and Anna Ennis; brother, Paul Ennis Jr.; niece, Sara Ennis and her son, Aiden, all of Sunderland; many uncles, including Dick Goddard; aunts and cousins. We have been family for so long. Much of my childhood centered around the Hill family farm. Steve was the son of my cousin Anna and her husband Paul. In the early years of our married lives we spent so much time together camping with all the children, snowmobiling, sugaring, and having suppers together. All such good memories. Anna and Paul have visited us in AK and we had hoped Steve would come sometime. Everyone will miss him and we are thinking of the family with sadness and much love. Harvey and Brenda Torrey McDonald
