Drake Christopher Dotson, age 23, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born on December 1, 2001, in Kansas City Mo. Drake brought joy and kindness into the world from the very beginning. He graduated from Warsaw High School, where he proudly wore number 53 on the football field and found strength in the weight room. His passion for teamwork and perseverance carried into his next chapter, graduating from the Missouri Welding Institute in Nevada, Missouri.
Drake was a true original-a gentle giant with a heart as big as his smile. He loved football (Go Chiefs!) and never missed a WWE match. But more than anything, Drake loved people. He had a rare gift: the ability to lift spirits simply by being present. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering positivity made him unforgettable to all who knew him. To know Drake was to love him.
On April 7, 2024, Drake was baptized at Allen Street Church, a moment that reflected his deep spirit and faith.
Drake is preceded in death by his grandfather T. Roger Dotson; great-grandparents Martha and Eddie Petree, and George and Dorothy Bunch; and uncles Matthew and John Dotson. He is survived by his loving parents, Chris Dotson and Stormy Dotson; his brother and friend, Raiden Dotson; his grandparents Mary Dotson, Neva Lee Vansell, Mary Vansell-Baumann, Dean Bauman, and Terry Dhority ; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles, and cousins who will carry his memory forward with love.
Drake's legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and light. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Graveside Services and Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
