Marguarite Forth-Drennon-Jobe Obituary
Marguarite Forth-Drennon-Jobe (Margie) officially received her angel wings on Sep 30th, 2025. She was born October 27th, 1922, in Wayne, Nebraska, the daughter of Bob and Francis (Hogan) Forth. In 1929 her family moved to the Edwards, Missouri area where her father had been born and raised. She was the oldest of eight children. In 1939 she married her soul mate Wanace R. Drennon of Hastain, MO. Wanace joined the Navy and during the war years she followed him to several bases around the country. She loved traveling, meeting new people and seeing the world. After WWII, she and her husband moved to Eldon, MO where they owned and operated the Eldon Radio and TV Service for many years. She had three children, Edsel, Marlene and Rita Lee. She loved her days in Eldon raising her three children and enjoying her many friends and activities there. She and her family moved to KC MO in 1963 where Wanace worked for the Bendix Corporation and she was a stay-at-home mother until her children were grown. She then decided to work at the Richards Gebaur AFB in Grandview MO at the Base Exchange selling cosmetics and jewelry. She loved this part time job and met service men and women from all over the world. In 1976, she and her husband officially retired, sold their home, bought a motor home and set off to explore the rest of the USA. They were so fortunate to visit and experience many beautiful places and have exciting adventures for the next 11 years. Her beloved husband died quite suddenly in 1987. After experiencing this devasting loss, she was instrumental in helping set up a hospice community in the area. Her next adventure came with the love and marriage to a most wonderful man, Harry S. Jobe. She and Harry had many joyous years together square dancing, traveling, meeting new people and enjoying their Methodist Church friends. Eventually, she and Harry moved to Ambrose Park Residential Care facility in Cole Camp MO where they enjoyed a pleasant life until his death in 2019. In 2024 she then moved to Good Samaritan Care Center where she received excellent care until she decided enough was enough and departed this world at 102 years of age. She loved her life, was blessed with two loving and caring husbands over the years, three adoring children and their spouses, two grandchildren and their lovely wives, four great grandchildren, many friends and additional family members. One sister, Betty Tudor survives her. Margie truly enjoyed her life and often said she wouldn't have changed a thing! She did not want a funeral as she said she had outlived all her friends. Should you wish to honor her memory, please remember her as the kind, loving, full of life person that we all knew and treasured. She was very precious to so many of us and we will miss her desperately.
