Marvin Smith Obituary

Marvin Wayne Smith, age 88, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Lincoln Community Care Center.

He was born on November 3, 1936, in Visalia, California, the son of George and Winifred (Gumm) Smith. Wayne grew up in Pickering, Missouri, and graduated from Pickering High School. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Business and Accounting from Northwest Missouri State College.

On June 24, 1956, he was united in marriage to Clara Marie Harper. The couple made their home in Lincoln, Nebraska, where Wayne worked for many years as a general contractor before retiring in 1993. After retirement, they relocated to Lincoln, Missouri.

Wayne had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and boating. He was a member of the Warsaw Shrine Club, where he served as a past president, and a member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clara, and one brother, Kenneth Smith.

Wayne is survived by his four children: Randal Smith of Warsaw, Steven Smith of Topeka, Kansas, Clinton Smith (Patricia), and Pam Tlamka of Florida; two brothers: Robert Smith (Barb) and James David Smith (Shirley), both of Lincoln; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
