Sandra Moore Obituary
Sandra Kay Moore, affectionately known as "The Sparkler," was born on July 14, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Robert L. Huke and Aileen Fern Huke. On Sunday, September 21, 2025, she peacefully departed this life and went home to be with her Lord.
Sandy lived a vibrant and giving life filled with love, faith, and service. Known for her love of sparkling jewelry, always wearing her signature "bling" her CB handle "The Sparkler" suited her perfectly. She had a joyful spirit and a twinkle in her eye that matched her glittering accessories.
She loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherwoman, often out-fishing her husband. One of the family's favorite photos shows Sandy and her youngest daughter in bib overalls by the pond, proudly holding their catch earning them the nickname "Tom and Huck" from one of her sons-in-law.
Sandy was a dedicated homemaker with a spotless house and never missed a chance to put on her makeup, whether going out or not because she wanted to look nice for her daughters and husband. She was once dubbed the "Coupon Queen" of Colorado, always finding ways to care for her family with wisdom and thrift.
Her passion for finding treasures at flea markets eventually gave way to a deeper calling serving others through volunteer work. For the past twelve years, she poured her heart into volunteering at the Warm House, where she found deep joy in helping others.
Throughout her life, Sandy gave freely of her time and talents. She served as a monitor at a Christian school in Colorado before homeschooling her youngest daughter who achieved top scores on all her tests thanks to Sandy's guidance and support. For 19 years, she lovingly cooked hearty meals for the men at deer camp and regularly prepared casseroles for friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Alongside her husband, she faithfully supported and served in ministry work.
Sandy worked for over 18 years at Western Electric in Lee's Summit, Missouri, where she met the love of her life, Philip Moore.
She is survived by her beloved husband Philip Moore of the home; her sister Linda Zumalt of Oil City, Louisiana; her three daughters: Robin Carter and husband Barry of Magnolia, Texas; Terri Zubiri and husband Mike of Nipomo, California; and Nikke Russell and husband James of Westfork, Arkansas. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Sandy's legacy of service, sparkle, and selfless love will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
