Ronald Goshien Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Goshien, 76, of Bryant, passed away Dec. 23, 2020. He was born Feb. 17, 1944, in Little Rock, to the late Edward and Lela (Sory) Goshien.
Ronnie worked at Rock Island, B & N Railroad (Bauxite Northern) and retired after over 30 years at Union Pacific Railroad. Ronnie enjoyed helping family and friends by working on motors often for only the love of his family. Ronnie was well known in the drag racing and dirt track communities along with building motors for many top performers in Arkansas. Racing was his life, however, his passion was going to the Drag Strip with his son and brothers to Carlisle, Prescott, I-30 and Centerville through the years.
Preceding Ronnie in death are his parents; and two brothers, Bobby and Larry.
He left to cherish his memory a son, Shane (Ronda); a daughter, Gayla; a grandchild, Brihanna; seven siblings, Jerry (Carolyn), Mike (Mary Jo), Roy (Patti), Cynthia, Suzanne, Amanda and Betsy (Gene);two sisters-in-laws, Marie and Mary; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will always love and miss him.
In honor of Ronnie, please drive your classic car, weather permitting.
A celebration of life service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, located at 322 N. Market St. in Benton.
Services are entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
