So sorry to hear about Stretch's passing. As a former resident of McArthur St., I hold many wonderful memories of both he and Shorty. Our families spent a lot of time together during the many years we lived across from each other. We were all family on that street and I will miss him dearly. On behalf of the Collins family, I send my sincere condolences to the family on his passing.

When Marjorie O'Donnell Hickey passed last January, I wondered if my mother was the last of PHS 1941. Mr Hopper's obituary showed she was not; I went to their yearbook to look back. She was not known to be a socialite, and it was heartwarming to see his signature beside his photo and ambitions. Their class had great reunions until the living members so reduced; they were all Pittsfield's last graduates before our country entered WW2. Sympathy to the Hopper family for your
loss.
