Benjamin T. Wood

1997 - 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our Son, Uncle & Little Brother, Benjamin Tyler Wood, resident of Willow Spring NC and native of Windsor, Massachusetts on January 6th, 2025, at the young age of 27 years.

Benny will be lovingly remembered by his mother & father, Mary Wood, residing in North Carolina and Raymond Wood Sr. currently residing in Dalton, Ma; His sister, Allyson Wood, currently of North Carolina; his brothers Raymond Wood Jr. and Joshua Wood, both currently residing in Dalton, Ma, and all of which were natives of Windsor, Massachusetts; his niece Hayleigh Ferin of Hinsdale and nephew Treyvon Wood of Dalton; along with many other family and friends from Massachusetts all the way to North Carolina.

Benjamin has made the early journey to join his late grandparents Roy & Phoebe Sawtelle and Allen & Cynthia Wood, all of which were natives of Windsor, Ma.; His cousin Kelley Wood of Connecticut and several other beloved Aunts and Uncles from across the states.

After attending Wahconah High School with the class of 2015, at the age of 16, Ben left home to live with his Aunt Karen and Uncle Steve to pursue a career in Willow

Spring, North Carolina in the field of plumbing, where he quickly made himself an asset to the outfit he worked for, until his early passing.

Ben was a huge gamer and enjoyed playing paintball every Sunday. Growing up, he enjoyed playing baseball and getting lost in the woods with his siblings; camping with the rest of the family and he had a great fondness for all the pets he had throughout his life.

With his heart of gold, Benny touched the hearts of many and he will be greatly missed by all those he came across. We could all learn from the selflessness that Ben showed the world daily. If you needed a shoulder to cry on or some words of wisdom, Ben is the first person that should come to mind. Ben was the type of person that you could go a year without seeing, and once you ran into him, you quickly picked up right where you left off.

Friends and Family are asked to attend a Celebration of Life in the Honor of Benjamin Wood, at Dery-Foley Funeral Home at 890 Main Street, Dalton Ma, Saturday February 1, 2025, between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
