Brian Bordeau Obituary

Brian P. Bordeau, 51, of Rochester, NY, formerly of Pittsfield, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024, after a courageous fight with many health issues. Born on December 8, 1972, he was the son of Ronald and Patricia Smegal Bordeau. Brian graduated from St. Joseph High School with the class of 1992.

Brian enjoyed playing high school hockey as goalie where he met many of his lifelong friends. He spent many of his younger years working with the Pittsfield Cubs at the local baseball park where he met many successful players such as Rich Amaral and Jamie Moyer, with whom he still remained in contact.

Brian's career path brought him to Rochester where he was the manager of several cell phone companies.

Brian enjoyed going to Zach, Ashley, and Riley's basketball games and track meets. Even when he was in the hospital, he was able to watch their games that were broadcasted online.

He also loved coming back to Pittsfield to attend family events and gatherings.

Brian is survived by his son, Zachary, who took over his dad's medical care, as well as daughters, Ashley and Riley, who all gave him so many reasons to continue to fight through the hard times. He leaves his stepson, Gavin, and Danielle, the mother of their children.

Brian is also survived by his parents, Ronald and Patricia Bordeau, sister Renee and husband Jason, and niece and nephew, Caitlin and Mitchell Hall, along with his in-laws, Sal and Karen Caccavalle and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian's family would like to thank all of their friends and family members for their generosity toward helping to purchase a scooter and power wheelchair to help make Brian's struggle so much more manageable.

They would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at both Strong Memorial Hospital and Monroe Community Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion throughout this difficult time.
