This is such sad news. I knew Carrie well at Amherst College -- and then would keep in touch every few years, visiting her in LA when she lived there. She was filled with enormous light and positive energy. I will miss her and her brilliant spirit. The world dims at her passing.

Carrie was a wonder -- naturally bringing love & warmth to everyone, never forgetting to tell you that she loved you, deeply intelligent & a wonderful & prideful mother. I am so sad and sorry.

My dear young Sarah, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. What a wonderful time it was in New YOrk City in February with you and your mother. It was a night that I will never forget. You and your mom made me smile and truly touched my heart. You are welcome to come back to Kona to see me. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Your mother and Uncle were there for my health and faith journey and I will always be grateful. Aloha

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Carrie Hyman's passing. I had the privilege of working for her when she practiced in Los Angeles. She always made me feel like family. I knew her son Ben when he was a toddler adn to know that he is now 19 blows me away. Dr. Hyman was a sweet, lighthearted soul. She will truly be missed.

I am so sad to learn of Carrie's passing. She was a bright, bright light. I feel privileged to have known her. We were to write a book together on electromagnetic effects on children. Her intelligence, love and courage will be missed. With compassion for all who are saddened at this time.

"Whispering pines, rising of the tide
If only one star shines
that's just enough to get inside.
I will wait until it all goes round
With you in sight, the lost are found..."

I am greatly saddened to hear of Carrie's passing, and I would like her family to know that I am holding them in my heart and prayers. Carrie and I met in a most extraordinary way, and for me, that infused our friendship with a special flair--although, that just may have been Carrie. She was a devoted mother, dedicated holistic health care provider, steadfast friend, and gracious hostess. She was a kind, generous and gentle soul, full of life and love; and, yes, she loved to laugh. I wish I could have seen her dance. I will miss her.
