Charlotte M. McCann

Charlotte Mae (Griffin) McCann, 73, of 58 Mohawk Forest Blvd. North Adams, died Friday evening, Oct. 5, 2007, at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She was born in North Adams on Oct. 29, 1933, a daughter of tBenjamin Griffin and Pauline (Summerlin) Griffin. She attended schools in Williamstown and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1952. She later graduated from the LPN Program at C.H. McCann Technical High School and from the former North Adams State College (now MCLA) in 1984.
Ms. McCann was first employed at the former Williamstown National Bank. She last worked as a licensed practical nurse at various nursing homes in the area.
She was a member of the Northern Berkshire Mineral Club. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and bird-watching.
Her former husband, Charles McCann Jr., is deceased.
She leaves a daughter, Dianna Pikul of Cheshire; two sons, Charles McCann III of Pittsfield and Steven McCann of Lanesborough; six grandchildren, Matthew McCann, Keith McCann, Deane McCann, Kimberly Pikul, Eric Pikul, and Donald Hilton; a brother, Frederick Griffin of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Gladys “Carol” McCauley of Easthampton; nieces and nephews.
Three sisters, Betty Hogan, Constance Crippa and Shirley Carrasquillo, and two brothers, Darrell Griffin and Ronald Griffin, are deceased.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Charlotte McCann will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions are suggested to Elder Services, in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home For Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
