Cindy Lyon Obituary
Born in Pittsfield, Cindy was a daughter of the late David and Kathleen Kelley Lyon. In school, she was a majorette and was the Co-Captain of the PHS Cadets. Following high school, Cindy took some medical classes in college and later earned her hair and cosmetology certificate and she worked as a hair dresser.
She loved reading, art and music, and adored animals, especially cats. Cindy was a person who loved to make others around her happy. She had a knack to make anyone smile. She was a devout Catholic and was a longtime member at St. Joseph's Church. She always shared that she wished she attended church earlier in life.
Cindy is survived by her sons, Daniel Batemen and Christopher Wojtkowski, her sister Jen Lyon, and her former mother-in-law, or Angel Mom as Cindy called her, Merrilyn Wojtkowski. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother and best friend, David Brett Lyon.
Visitation at the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 beginning at 9AM with a funeral home prayer service led by Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church, to begin at 9:45AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cindy's memory may be sent to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or a local animal shelter to help take care of the cats and dogs.

I am so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. I remember Cindy from North Junior High School, and also Pittsfield High School. She was always friendly and kind. Please hold on to any good memories of her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
