Daniel Ridley Obituary

Daniel Ridley, Sr., peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2022 at the age of 50.

Dan was born to Minnie Ridley & Rev. Willie James Ridley, Sr., in Hudson, NY on July 29, 1971.

Dan was full of life and was well known in his community. He had a passion for football and also for cooking. He was known for his big heart and an amazing voice. He enjoyed singing gospel and R&B music. His heart will always lie with his children and grand-children whom he loved and adored.

He is survived by his children Bayshawn Irvis, Daniel Ridley, Jr., Latasha Ridley, Raychelle MacHaffie, Shonna Ridley, Justus Ridley and Dakodda Ridley of Pittsfield, MA; his mother Minnie Ridley of Hudson, NY; his six brothers Quinn Ridley of CA, Melvin Ridley of IA, Willie Ridley, Jr., of Hudson, NY, Lt. Bruce Ridley of MD, Joseph Ridley of Springfield, MA and Dan's twin brother Darryl Ridley of Springfield, MA; one sister Courtney Ridley of Catskill, NY and also many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He also leaves behind his longtime physician and close friend Caroline Weisberger of West Stockbridge, MA, who held a very special place in his life.

He was predeceased by his father, Rev. Willie James Ridley, Sr., and his brother in law Shaun William MacHaffie of Pittsfield, MA.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and close friends.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Berkshire County, in Dan's name, in support of mental illness that continues to affect our community.
