Darlene Baisley Obituary

Darlene Julie Baisley (Queen), 59, of Pittsfield MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her closest family and beloved pets on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025. Darlene was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. Her compassion and empathy for others touched many lives. She found great fulfillment by helping others in any way that she could. Darlene grew up in Cromwell, CT on her family's dairy farm. She attended Marymount College in the Hudson Valley, where she discovered the art of tarot card reading, which became one of her life-long passions. She worked hard to support her family throughout the years, working various jobs. Some of her favorites included working at Crystal Essence in Great Barrington and in recent years serving as Volunteer Coordinator at BMC. Darlene was a healer, Reiki master and practiced palmistry and tarot for nearly 40 years. She will be remembered for her love of music and nature, her infectious laugh and great sense of humor.

Darlene is predeceased by her parents, Stuart White and Nancy Rossberg and survived by her husband, Thane Baisley, and daughter, Kate Baisley, both of Pittsfield, MA. Son, Donovan Baisley, daughter-in-law, Alyssa Baisley of VT. Stepmother, Donna White, three brothers, step-sister and a large extended family.

A celebration of life will be planned within the next few months to honor her memory in a very special way. Updates on the memorial plans for Darlene will be shared with her community on social media by her family.

Though I didn´t know Darlene well, she immediately reached out to me when my mother passed offering condolences and advice. She was a truly kind woman and made me feel at ease from the moment I met her. Her beautiful smile paled in comparison to her beautiful heart. I wish we had more time to get to know each other.

I worked with Darlene at BMC. She was the most generous, gentle person, always accommodating, and doing anything she could to support our patients. Her kind spirit is greatly missed. Offering hopes for you, her family, to find comfort in your grief.
