David Moro

1970 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Mr. David R. Moro, 44, of 44 Bernard Ave., died Tuesday evening at the Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Pittsfield, May 29, 1970, the son of David A. and Judith A. McIntosh Moro. He was educated in the local schools and was a 1988 graduate Taconic High School. Initially employed at Kimberly-Clarke, he then became employed as a machine operator and later, as a Waste Water Treatment operator for Schweitzer Mill. Upon its closing, he became employed with Veolia Co. again as a Waste Water Treatment operator. Mr. Moro had achieved his T-4 Professional License status which is the highest license within his profession. A family man, he put everyone else first. A great Dad and Son, he was all about responsibility. An avid fisherman, he loved the Boston Teams, the Red Sox, the Bruins the Celtics and was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins. Besides his parents, David and Judith, of Pittsfield, he is survived by his two sons, Brian D. Winchell and Joshua D. Moro, both of Pittsfield, his daughter, Kimberly A. Moro of Pittsfield, his two brothers, Dale A. Morro and his wife, Donna M. Moro of Warwick,R.I., Christopher M. Moro and his wife , Katherine L. Moro of Supply, N.C., his two grandchildren, Christian T. and Kyra G. Winchell, and his nieces and nephews, Alexandrae. E. Moro, Kaleigh A. Moro, Mackenzie J. Moro, Kyle J. Moro, Shane D. Moro and Brittany, Typhanie and Andrew Winchell. FUNERAL NOTICE: David R. Moro, age 44, died Nov. 25, 2014 Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be FRIDAY morning beginning at 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the DANA FARBER CANCER RESEARCH INSTITUTE IN care of the funeral home.

Extending sincere condolences to Dave's family. I worked with him at Schweitzer-Mauduit and appreciated his desire to better himself and seek out opportunity when the mill was going down. I enjoyed the time we worked and studied together. I will hold very fond memories of him, a true friend.
