He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, his children; Richard West, Danielle Pedretti (Andrew), Andrew West (Ann), and Kimberly Lavoie (Andrew). He also leaves his adored grandchildren; Matthew and Benjamin Lavoie, Nicholas, Christina and Olivia Pedretti and Samantha Brassard, as well as his sister Diane Smith (David).
SERVICES - A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Old Parish Church in Sheffield, MA, conducted by Rev. Jill Graham, pastor.
There will be no calling hours.

dear barb, I am so very on the loss of dave, always a great guy, we were locker mates in school , and got along well. he came to see me when my jerry passed, I was greatfull for that, it was always so good when we ran into each other and to see you both at our class reunions, memories are the best help in this time of need, god bless you all. karen

37 years ago Dave worked the 3rd shift at BD. He was instrumental in my wife and I getting together. I remember him as a good man with a great sense of humor. He gave me my wife's telephone number and encouraged me to ask her out. He was in our lives for a short time and it has lasted 37 years. Thank you Dave. Rest in peace.

Dear Barbara and Family - I've just read about David and wanted to send my condolences for your loss. David and I were at Mt. Everett together, on the tumbling team, in some classes, at school games, etc. We did not see each other much after school ended, travelling and living elsewhere, but years later gathered at Anita's house on a number of occasions to put together our class reunions. These meetings were every 5 or 10 years apart by then, but gave 5 or 6 of us a chance to catch up on the years in between while having fun doing so. Our reunions, particularly the last one, was just spectacular, and I know we all enjoyed the experience of being together again. David had a great sense of humor and was dedicated to helping the process of gathering info and finding school friends no matter where they lived. Obviously, you and I knew each other back then as well. I'm sorry for your loss, Barb - for everyone's loss - of David. He was a wonderful classmate and will be remembered so fondly by all of us.
