Heaven has just gained another angel. Diane Marie Paoli, 74, of Pittsfield died Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Springside Nursing home in Pittsfield.

She was born in Pittsfield on November 14, 1951, a daughter of the late Ettore and Pierina (Matteotti) Paoli. Diane attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School.

She was employed for many years as a store clerk at Goodwill industries in Pittsfield and was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Diane truly loved spending time with her family, especially on holidays. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley, enjoyed reading, baking with staff at her group home, crafts and gardening. Her bright smile and sweet demeanor endeared her to everyone who met her.

Survivors include two sisters Sheila Burgess and her husband Joseph of Cumberland, RI, Debra Byrne of New York, brothers Peter Paoli and his wife Christine, Donald Byrne and his wife Debbie of Bellevue, WA, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings Laura Rothenberg, Christine Paoli, and Joseph Paoli.

The family would like to express its deepest gratitude for the care and compassion shown to Diane by her Robert Street group home staff, the Center for Development in Lee, Crossroads day hab, and the Berkshire County ARC.

Funeral services for Diane Marie Paoli will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA.
