Flora K. Szymanski

ADAMS -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Flora K. “Florence” (Nowak) Szymanski, 81, of 120 Friend St. was celebrated Monday, Aug. 15, 10 a.m., in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Mr. Robert R. Moulton, permanent deacon of the parishes.
Joseph Lipinski was the cross bearer, and Mary Krzeminski and Dola Lipinski were the acolytes. Laura Szymanski, granddaughter, was the lector. Offertory gifts were presented by Arlene Szymanski and Elizabeth Szymanski, daughters-in-law. Reflections on Mrs. Szymanski’s life were offered by David Szymanski, son.
Jeffrey Hunt, organist, accompanied the Community Choir of the Parishes.
Burial followed in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Szymanski and Kyle Szymanski, grandsons; Kerri Nighelli, granddaughter; Terrie Szymanski, niece; Richard Nighelli, grandson-in-law; and Donald Merlini, friend.
Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality met at the funeral home Sunday afternoon to pay their respects and recite the Rosary, and formed an honor guard at the church for the funeral.
Mrs. Szymanski died Aug. 11. The Augé-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
