Florence Lennon Obituary
In 1957 she went to work at the University of Massachusetts where she met the love of her life, Philip Lennon. They married on August 30, 1958, and upon Philip's graduation from college they moved to Dalton where they settled and raised their 5 children. Philip predeceased her on June 20,2025.
Florence and her husband enjoyed traveling and went on several cruises to the Bahamas, to Las Vegas, Disneyland and their favorite trip was to Ireland. She also enjoyed her weekly bingo games and was upset when COVID interrupted them. More than anything else in the world she enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. No matter what was going on she was always there.
Florence worked at O'Connell Oil in Pittsfield for many years retiring in 2012.
Mrs. Lennon is survived by her five children, Tracy (Kevin) Richard of Tucson, AZ, Thomas (Lynne) Lennon of Savoy, MA, Philip, Jr (Lauren) Lennon of Buffalo, NY, MaryBeth (John)Curro of Dalton, MA and James (Aimee) Lennon of Dalton. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Andrew, Jennifer, Matthew, Brittany, Thomas, Kristin, Katelyn, Meghan, Craig, Timothy and Keegan. Her six great grandchildren, Alexandra, Rylie, Tyler, Jarrod, Amelia and Michael.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers, Harold and Donald McCormick, her grandson Patrick and great grandson Mason.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 6, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St, Dalton.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home.

To all of Betty´s kids
I am sorry to read of your mom´s passing. She was a very nice lady. I enjoyed talking with her and your dad at the many different functions in town. Our kids went to school together so we attended the same functions.
