Gilbert Ferrer Obituary

We mourn the passing of Gil Ferrer from complications after a heart transplant. Originally from LA, he and his wife Elizabeth lived in Brooklyn, NY, and Lenox, MA. Above all, Gil was a loving husband, wonderful father to Allegra, and adoring grandfather to Evan and Erieanna. He was a proud Harvard Law School graduate and initially practiced law on Wall Street. He found his most meaningful work as an immigration attorney, an area that allowed him to help others achieve a better life. Gil was a dedicated 33rd degree Mason and Past Master of Shakespeare Lodge in NY. He also pursued such personal passions as opera. science fiction, astronomy, and spending time in the Berkshires with his family. He is deeply missed.

Mr. Ferrer will never be forgotten. He was one of the smartest and brightest, and one of the nicest people I have ever met. His passion for his work, and mentoring others will continue on. It was a honor to know Mr. Ferrer.
