Joan Alessio Obituary
Joan was the daughter of the deceased Alfred (Tucker) and Isabella (Belle) Merry and lived in North Shields England before marrying Charles Alessio (married 55 Years).
She was employed in England for several years by Formica Ltd.
In addition to her husband survivors include two sisters, Susan and Maureen, brother-in-law Ugo Alessio, sister-in-law Suzanne Girard and many nieces and nephews.
Joan was the "Chief Cook and Bottle Washer" for Bridge Players, Family and Friends from all over the USA, Europe and Brazil. Joan's ashes will be entombed in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield, MA during a private family service.

Joan was the glue that held our bridge games together, a wonderful friend, organizer, fabulous cook and always cheerful and fun. I loved that she always called the ladies "flower".

Uncle Chuck :( I am so so sad I hear of Aunt Joan´s passing and that I had not seen her in so long!! You were both my adopted Aunt and Uncle. I appreciate all the many years you picked me up from school during my breaks, all the meals and "hooky pokey" enjoyed. The memories of Brasil, your visits to Guadeloupe with full turkeys in you luggage, and all the wonderful phone calls my mom and Aunt Joan enjoyed over the years. I can only imagine Aunt Joan, my mom and Dad looking down on us.
