Here is one of John's favorite jokes; it always made him chuckle...
1st Man: "My dog has no nose."
2nd Man: "How does he smell?"
1st Man: "Terrible."
RIP, John.

I pray for God's peace and comfort for the family. 60 is much too young to pass away. I sat beside John for several years at Alstom and really enjoyed geting to know him and his sense of humor. A lesson for all of us is that we never know how long we have and we must be ready spiritually to meet our maker face to face.

Ah, John ... that you should pass at such a young age. We were work compadres in Norwalk, CT - Windsor, CT and Knoxville. I last spoke to you in Knox about a work issue several years ago and you were so helpful. You were always a straight shooter and told it as it was. You were and are my friend. I shall miss you so, amigo.

Dear Kate and Family,
I am deeply saddened by John's sudden demise. Just a few days ago I waived at him as I saw him driving his Camry. I had the pleasure of working with him in ALSTOM and I always liked his helpful and professinal approach to things. My prayers are with all of you. May God rest his soul in peace.

I knew John for several years at Alstom. We talked about house building and woodworking. He was often a voice of sanity in the office. I feel very sad to learn of his passing. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.

I knew John for a brief period before he retired from Alstom, but I will always remember him as the consummate engineer- always willing to take time to explain how things worked. I will also always remember his kindness- John kept a pair of work gloves in his briefcase in case he ran across anyone who needed mechanical assistance. That's who he was. Thoughts of comfort to his family at this time.

I didn't know John well or for very long...he left Alstom shortly after I started...but he left a significant impression on me. His deep intelligence, his kindness, and his integrity shined in everything he did. Sending prayers for peace and comfort for all of those who love him.
