Joseph Gardner Obituary
Born in Burlington, Vt., on Oct. 12, 1938, he was the son of Arthur William and Victoria (Urban) Gardner. He attended schools in Adams.
Mr. Gardner was first employed by the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates, Adams. He later worked for A. Shapiro & Sons, North Adams, and also at the former Georgia Marble Co. on Curran Highway. He was last employed by the Modern Aluminum Anodizing Co., North Adams, for 35 years, until his retirement in 1993.
His first wife, the former Shirley A. King, died July 29, 1986. They were married in 1961.
He leaves his wife, the former June Dawn Lord, whom he married Aug. 9, 1991, in Williamstown; three sons, Arthur J. Gardner of North Adams, John J. Gardner of Bennington, Vt., and Robert L. Gardner of North Adams; five stepdaughters, Dawn Faustini of North Adams, Bonny Moulton of North Adams, Cindy Ziarnik of Adams, Victoria Dupuis of Harrellsville, N.C., and Julie Gardner of Lanesborough; a stepson, Arthur W. Gardner III of North Adams; 10 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Philip Gardner, Fred Gardner and Arthur Gardner, and a sister, Margaret Fisher, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Joseph L. Gardner will be held Monday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m., from the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 W. Main St., North Adams. Deacon Robert Moulton will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Sunday, 3-5 p.m., at the funeral home.

Uncle Joe i am so sorry that you had to suffer in your final moments of being with your family. We know now that you are no longer suffering. You are now with your family and Aunt Shirl. I love you very much Uncle Joe and you will be missed. You had a wonderful sense of humor and loved us girls a lot [Cindy,Vicky,Bonny,Julie and Dawn].

boy this was sure hard to read today i'm very sorry for your loss John,Art,and Bobby.Your father and my father were best of friends for years and wasn't a time u wouldn't see them together.Over the years sence my fathers passing kinda loss touch with Joe but whenever i would see him he'd always say "hi Barbie"ask me how i was doing.Gonna miss u Joe but now ur suffering is gone n u can rest in peace and u and my father can again have the good times u always shared together (say hi to dad for me).If there's anything i can for either of u (John,Art and Bobby) please let me know.
