Im very shocked and saddened to hear of Joes passing. I certainly miss the many nights out and about with Joe, either at laCocina, Patricks, Woodys and countless other spots including Joes own home. Also, the many deep conversations we had about everything will be missed. The first time I met joe was almost 30 yrs ago at Patricks pub in Pittsfield. I was very fortunate to know him.

I was fortunate to become friends with Joe about 29 years ago. He was a gentle soul, kind, had a unique and enjoyable sense of humor. It didn't matter whether we were watching a PATS or Red Sox game together, or ran into each other at the store, or grabbing a beer somewhere, chatting with Joe was always great. He will be sorely missed.

To Jimmy Donna and family, I am so crushed to hear about Joey. Joey was a kind, hard working, funny, respectfully guy. I had last talked with Joey in the Market, and it lead to talking back and fourth about the "PATS" and how Tom Brady was going to take the team again back to the super bowl. And how the players were going to do this year and who was leaving the team. I stated that Tom Brady was going to leave. Joey said that's not going to happening! "no way" But as we both ended our conversation on the "Pats" we were in agreement if Tom Brady was going to go to another team we would be follow Tom Brady. Joey knew the stats on the "pats" and if I was wrong he would point it out to me. Joey, would many times be right on the mark. Now I will miss our yearly meets and talks about the "Pats and the Red Soxs. Joey was always welcome in our group of Pat fans as we would all meet and cheer on our teams. Until we meet again my friend rest now and be at peace. I will miss are talks on the Pats and Red Soxs. your friend always and will be thinking about you this fall when football starts up again. your friend. Rene'

Jimmy--my family has lived in the house next to your family's home on Holmes Rd since the 1940's. My parents got along so well with yours, and my older brother (Jim) and sister (Margie) and I played with your sisters and your dog Cookie when we were all kids. I moved backed to Pittsfield in 2004 and took over my parents' house and saw Joey whenever we were both outside at the same time. He was a wonderful neighbor---kind and helpful and he loved my dogs. I moved to Florida last fall and since then both of my next door neighbors, whom I really liked have died. I was shocked to hear about Joey and very sad as is my entire family included my 2 sons who also knew him. May he rest in peace---my condolences to you and your family.
