Joyce Leydet Obituary
Joyce worked at LMHS serving lunches as well as the Lenox Library. She then went on to work at Housatonic Curtains as a seamstress for many years. After leaving Housatonic Curtains, she went on to work at Cranwell Resort as a housekeeper and in the laundry room before retiring. After her retirement, she became a volunteer for Elder Services as a receptionist answering phone calls for Lee VNA/Porchlight VNA.
As a single mom of seven, her children were her pride and joy, and she was theirs. Joyce was pre-deceased by her parents John and Louise Tyler, her sisters Phyllis Pereglou, Marian Wellington, Joan Bentley and Theresa Vreeland, her brothers Jack Joyner, and Thomas Tyler. She is survived by her children. Her daughter Nancy (Dave) Dippold, Virginia (Richard) Phair, her sons Joseph Leydet, Jr., Vernon (Linda) Leydet, John (Pat) Leydet, Shaun (Matt) Patryn and Richard Leydet. She also leaves behind her niece Tina Lynch who was her shopping and tag sale buddy. Joyce also leaves behind her 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Per Joyce's request there will be no calling hours. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flower donations, may be made to Mountain View Home Care, Pittsfield, and Hospice Care in the Berkshires.

Joyce was a spectacular lady. She had the prettiest flowers in the neighborhood. I loved seeing her tending to them and enjoying them. God Bless to all of the family, she raised all of you to be wonderful people. Love you all!
