Lawrence LeBeau Obituary

Lawrence L. LeBeau 1927-2011 ADAMS Mr. Lawrence Lincoln LeBeau, 84, of 5 Overlook Terrace, Adams, died early Monday morning, February 14, 2011, at his home. He was born in Cheshire on February 12, 1927, a son of the late Arthur and Almina (Bourdeau) LeBeau. He graduated from the Clarke School for the Deaf in Northampton, Mass. Mr. LeBeau worked as a tester at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 27 years, until retiring in 1992. Earlier, he had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams for 15 years. He was also an accomplished carpenter and cabinetmaker, working part-time at his craft for over 50 years. He had also built his own home and made cabinets for many local homes. He was a communicant of the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great, Adams. He was a member and past president of the Western MA Association for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired; a Board Member of the AdLib independent Living Center; a member of the National Fraternal Society for the Deaf; the Pittsfield Athletic Association for the Deaf and the International Deaf Catholic Association. He also volunteered to complete household repairs for other impaired individuals. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Patricia M. Peloquin, whom he married on June 10, 1950; a son, Patrick LeBeau, Sr. and his wife, Dione, of Adams; a daughter, Linda Casella, of Adams; four grandchildren, Daniel R. Casella, Leo Casella, Patrick LeBeau, Jr. and Dillon LeBeau; four great grandchildren, Dominic, Sulianie, Kalianie and Andrew Casella; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his 3 sisters, Almina Paquette, Yvonne Maslak and Stella Burnett; and by his five brothers, Arthur, Russell, Wilson, Albert and Noel LeBeau. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 19th, at 11:30 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in the Parish Church of Pope John Paul the Great, Adams, celebrated by Rev. James F. McAndrews, SJ. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
