Lisa Marie Streit

1971 - 2021

Lisa Marie Streit, 50, of Pittsfield, passed away at home on August 18, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Pittsfield, MA on March 18, 1971 to the late Alfred E. Streit, Theresa Gates Fosty, and Step father Patrick J Fosty, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Lisa was also a graduate of Berkshire Community College, where she received her Massage Therapy degree.

She was employed by the Department of Disabled Services and Berkshire Service Group as a caregiver.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Lisa is survived by her two children, Kristie M. Hartig and husband Jordan of Pittsfield, and Justin D. Bateman and life-partner, Donald Quinn and their father Rodney D Bateman of Pittsfield. Two grandchildren, Odessa and Everett Hartig. As well as her siblings, Frederick M. Streit, Sandra A. Williams and husband Sam, Laura J. Streit, Brenda L. Streit and her life partner Kirk Lemay, Christina A. Rosa and life partner Joseph T. Smith, Justina A. Fosty her life partner Jeffery Watford, Patrick J. "Boomer" Fosty and wife Amanda, all of Pittsfield, and Andrew F. Fosty and wife Darrian, and Michael J. Fosty and wife Jacqueline both of San Antonio, TX.

She also leaves many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Infusion Center at Cooley Dickinson hospital in Northampton in care of the funeral home.
