MaryAnn Bassi Obituary

MaryAnn Bassi, 63, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025, just a few months shy of her 64th birthday.

Born in Lenox, Massachusetts, on September 26, 1961, MaryAnn was the daughter of the late John and Audrey Keefe Hoffman. She was a 1979 graduate of Lenox High School and went on to build a successful career as the owner of "Maid MaryAnn," her own cleaning business. She took great pride in her work until her health no longer allowed her to continue.

MaryAnn was known for her warmth, her generosity, and her deep love of family. She cherished the time spent vacationing in Hilton Head with her husband, Patrick, and close friends. A passionate gardener, she tended to her perennial beds with care and joy. She was also a talented cook and baker, known for her elaborate holiday meals and irresistible desserts. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her time to shine, surrounded by family.

She loved the beach, the Pittsfield Fourth of July Parade, and especially hosting-her Halloween parties were legendary. But above all, MaryAnn adored her children, her grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Stella.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Patrick J. Bassi, whom she married on February 27, 1999. She leaves five children: Ryan Zocchi (Liz) of Naples, FL; Tina Hastings of Baldwinsville, NY; and Colleen Kendziera (Garrett) of Suffield, CT, John Bassi (Tiffany) of Pittsfield, MA, and Regina Jones (Ron) of Phoenix, AZ.

MaryAnn's legacy lives on in her cherished grandchildren: Isabelle (Ryan and Liz); Mason, Gianna, Malia, and Brielle (Tina); Colton, Teagan, and Harper (Colleen and Garrett); and Jake, Ella, and Luca (John and Tiffany). She is also survived by her sister Catherine Turner Hoffman of Pittsfield and her nephew Kevin Turner of Washington, MA.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Audrey Hoffman.
