Mr. Matthew L. Buffi, of Pittsfield, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, just shy of his 33rd birthday. He was born in Pittsfield, MA, on August 21, 1988, to Christine (Doyle) Buffi and the late Lawrence Buffi, Jr..

Matthew attended Wahconah Regional High School and graduated with his GED diploma on July 8, 2013. He was employed at Lipton Mart convenience store.

Matthew truly lived life through simple pleasures. Amongst many things, he enjoyed chatting and sharing a good laugh with friends and family. Matthew took pride in being around others and knowing he could brighten up anyone's day with just a simple gesture or smile.

His death was preceded by his father Lawerence Buffi Jr.; his sisters Amanda Buffi and Julie Stowers and his godfather Gerald S. Doyle. He is survived by his mother Christine (Doyle) Buffi, his twin sister, Courtney (Buffi) Uy, brother, Frank Buffi, and his additional sisters Cara Doty, Christina Buffi, Kim Johns and Eileen Vickery. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Notice:

Funeral services for Mr. Matthew L. Buffi will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home., 776 North Street, Pittsfield, MA, 01201. To best ensure everybody's health, due to the recent rise in Covid cases, all attending these services will be required to wear a face mask. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BCARC in Matthew's memory, care of Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA, 01201. Chris and family,
I am so very saddened and sorry to hear of Matt's passing. He was far too young. I have many fond memories of Matt as a young boy. I used to love our walks to Greenridge variety to buy Penny Candy. Matt was always such a pleasure to be around. I hope you find comfort in the thought that he is at peace with Larry, Amanda, and his other relatives that have passed.
