Michael R. DeMarsico

1961 - 2024

Michael Robert DeMarsico age 63, our guiding compass and anchor to our family, was taken from us through a tragic accident on the evening of Sunday November 17th 2024.

He was born in North Adams, a son of the late Robert J DeMarsico and Rena E DeMarsico. He was a 1981 graduate of Drury High School.

Mike was employed as a maintainer at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Prior to this, he worked at KM Motors as a detailer following the closure of North Adams Regional Hospital where he was employed as a courier.

Mike was a member of the First Baptist Church and above all a loving, devoted husband of 38 years to his best friend Lisa (Babcock) DeMarsico whom he married on August 22, 1986. His deepest pride and joy were his children. Mike had three daughters, Aubrey (TJ) Harmon of Pittsfield MA, Kailey (David) Sookey of North Adams, MA and Leigha DeMarsico of North Adams, MA and one son, Adam (Emily) DeMarsico of Cohoes, NY. Mike was a loving Papa to 4 grandchildren, Landon and Ryleigh Harmon, Nazeerah Sookey, and Easton DeMarsico.

He leaves two brothers Anthony (Esther) DeMarsico North Adams, MA and Glen (Cheryl) DeMarsico Adams, MA, an aunt Rosella Cote Williamstown, MA as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His son, U.S. Army Spc. Michael Robert DeMarsico II, was Killed in Action in Afghanistan on August 16th 2012.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Michael R. DeMarsico will be Tuesday November 26th, 2024 at 11:00 A.M at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St North Adams, MA. Burial will be private. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM. Memorial donations can be made to No Paws Left Behind in the care of the funeral home.
