Nancy Jagiello Obituary

Nancy Leona (Goddard) Jagiello, 77, of Adams, MA passed early Sunday morning.

She was born in North Adams, MA on May 17, 1940 a daughter of the late Freeman and Alice Eliza (Record) Goddard. Nancy attended Drury High School through her teenage years. She was employed at Waverly Fabrics for many years, and was last employed at Meehan & Co. where she enjoyed the companionship of fellow employees that became close friends. Nancy was also the caregiver for her sister.

She was a member of the Berkshire Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Nancy loved animals, particularly horses, which she trained and enjoyed riding throughout her life. Amirah was her last horse, an energetic and sparky Arabian who now lives in South County and is part of a 4H riding program. Her heart knew no limit for loving God's creatures. She shared her home with her two Huskie's, Kayla and Niko, and her bobtailed and loyal rescue cat, Dondi.

She was the widow of Donald Theodore Jagiello Sr., whom she married on December 2, 1968. He died on December 17, 2000. Together they raised a family.

Survivors include two daughters Sherry Jean Ziter and her husband, Jeff of Savoy, MA; and Dawn Terry Jagiello and her significant other, Jeff Rose also of Savoy, MA; son Donald Theodore Jagiello Jr. and his wife Laurel of Cheshire, MA; four grandchildren Jacob and Elizabeth Ziter, and Carmen and Evan Hyatt; two sisters- Joan Frost of Ooltewah, TN and Carol Kleiner of Adams, MA; as well as nieces and nephews who were all very close to her. She was predeceased by her brother David Freeman Goddard.
