Ralph Moran Obituary
WORTHINGTON -- Ralph A. Moran Sr., 95, of Huntington Road died Wednesday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield. He was a former town moderator and member of the Finance Committee.
Born in East Orange, N.J., on June 24, 1912, son of Frank J. and Grace Allen Moran, he attended the Wharton School and graduated from Dartmouth University in 1935.
Mr. Moran owned and operated Hampshire Transportation and Service Co. Inc. for many years and also was a contractor.
He was a member of the Williamsburg Rotary Club and a longtime member of Worthington Golf Club.
His wife, the former Margaret Leonhard, died in 1997.
He leaves a daughter, Katherine Moran Riley of New Brunswick, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Ralph A. Moran Jr. in 1990.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A celebration of the life of Ralph A. Moran Sr., who died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, will be held in the spring at a time to be announced. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to PEASE AND GAY FUNERAL HOME OF NORTHAMPTON. Mr. Moran also leaves a son-in-law, Dr. David J.
