Raymond Alicea Obituary

Raymond Reynaldo Alicea Jr., 24, of 1190 Savoy Road, Cheshire, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Holyoke on Nov. 11, 1982, he was a son of Martha Ponce and the late Raymond R. Alicea. He attended school in Holyoke.
Mr. Alicea worked for several businesses in the Springfield and the Northern Berkshire area.
He moved to North Adams several years ago and to Cheshire in 2006.
He enjoyed his family and spending time with his wife and son.
Besides his mother, of Connecticut, he leaves his wife, the former Laura Marie Whitman, whom he married on Sept. 21, 2005; a son, Rasziel Raymond Alicea of Greenfield; a brother, Justin Orwat of Connecticut; two sisters, Kayla Orwat of Connecticut and Vanessa Alicea of Adams; his mother-in-law, Donna Hartwig, and father-in-law, Richard Whitman, both of Adams; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Raymond Alicea Jr. will take place Thursday, April 19, at noon at Trottier-Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Adams.
Calling hours are Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rasziel R. Alicea Trust fund in care of Laura Marie Alicia, 1190 Savoy Road, Cheshire, MA 01225.

my heart gose out to all of raymonds family. but most of all to his son that is only 4 years old and has just been in raymonds life for only 1 year the past year that has just gone by. he loves his dad. and he much liked his dads wife as well and i think her for eveything she has did for rasziel. rasziel knows his dad is in haven but he dose not yet understand thats forever. i am sorry for your loss and hope that you can get though this with happy thoughs of what you had of raymond.and rasziel aunt grace loves you and will be here for you no matter what. love you so much, forever.

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. I can only think back on the days when you were here and me and you use to go out and have fun and think about life and how we would get out of these rough times. with that being said Raymond I hope that you are looking down on me from heaven and smiling because you finanlly made it.
