Merry Christmas Gina...love and miss you

Deb Dobson

Well, it’s Christmastime, my friend. The winter memory I have most and I know it was one of your favorites, too, is that day we were skating around on the pond , just the two of us, and how beautiful the day and the ice was … pure glass with bright blue sky and puffy white clouds. The sun was shining and the ice was getting ready to melt for Spring and it was going to get warm again, finally, and we were so happy. You had emerald eyes that day. You were awesome! I kept telling you that. We always reminded each other of that day and always, always remembered it whenever we got together. If it wasn’t you bringing it up, it was me. I have that memory here now and I will cherish it forever.

You are so special to me, and it has been so easy for us to tell each other that. We would laugh at how opposite and different we were, yet so close because of it … that to us was our best place with each other … totally different in everything we lived, yet the closest and best of friends. We didn’t question it and we loved it and lived it for what it was. Never an argument, always respect and love … pure love.

I love you Gina, you will be with me always in my heart.
Deb

PS … this Bud’s for you!

Gina,
At first I wasn't going to sign this guestbook for whatever reasons, but I had a dream about you and all I wanted to do was tell you that I had the dream. Obviously I loved working with you all that time in that damn deli and you made me laugh histarically everyday, but this dream made me wake up laughing. Remember one day when we were working at the deli together and Abby was working up front and I was asking you about some new girl that wanted to apply or something, and you turned the radio up and started dancing and rapping about her?!! You were one of the funniest people I've ever known Gina, and you will TRULY be missed. Love you always

It took me a while to figure out what to say. But when I was younger, and I had a problem, I'd go to Gina. Not only would she make me laugh, but she would give me sound advice. She was a LADY. She would always brighten up your day. I'm gonna miss her. Rest in Peace. I loved you

Dear Kay, Teddy, Susan and Ellen,

I was very sad to hear about Gina. Its been quite a while since I had seen her and for that matter all of you. I'll always remember the good ole days growing up on Caroline St. In reading all of the guestbook entries, Gina touched a lot of lives in a wonderful way. It seems that the qualities she had as a youngster (kindness, sense of humor, etc.) continued to be her legacy. I wish I had at some point stopped into the market where we could've caught up and laughed at the olden days. I will miss Gina and keep all of you in my prayers.

Sincerely,

Rick Stiffler

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Gina lives so fully in my heart. I so enjoyed every moment with Gina. I smile every time I think of her - she had an infectious laugh, was always cheerful, often hilarious, and sprinkled her joyful spirit on those she met. She touched my heart, and will leave a hole in the hearts of those who worked and lived by her side. I know Gina is at peace in our Father's loving arms, and I pray for your healing.

Dear Aunt Kay and family,

I am so sorry about your loss and share your pain. Words can not express. I haven't seen you or your family in quite some time, but will always remember the little girl who looked like Shirley Temple. With great sympathy.

Michelle and family. Aunt Kay, you know if my parents were here they would be there with you.

Gina was our treasure at the Market, she and Allison had the greatest joy on plotting jokes against Bernie, and when the joke happened they'd both be rolling around with laughter with tears running down their faces! Now they are back together and I can picture the two of them with their heads together "plotting", always in good fun.
Gina was an amazing cook! She also spoiled the customers knowing exactly how their grinders were made.
She was "our great treasure" in so many ways, we loved her and will miss her. It is a relief to know that she has no more pain and is with God and Allison in heaven.
