To my dad
I will miss the way you answer the phone. "Speak to me I gotta nickle." I will always remember you wearing that blue and white polka dotted hat and miss you wearing it but I´ll always treasure it. I love you dad you are one of the most amazing man to have walked the earth and I will miss you dearly I will miss your wisdom. I already miss you when I come home and walk past your room and you are not there.
I surely hope you are now pain free and with mom whom past in November 2022 and my brother Rick whom past away September 2001
I´m so upset that you all left me but as you once said to me "Nothing is forever." Now I´ll this "until we all meet again soon."
Love you always and forever
Mike Aveyard
In the words of my dad

I got to know Dick and his wife when I was building the Angel of Hope Memorial Park at the North Adams Cemetery. Having lost his son, Dick jr., he purchased a paver for him. He always attended the memorial ceremonies in Dec. and was a frequent supporter. I sat with his wife one night and visited her in the nursing home and attended her wake. I had no idea where Dick was or how he was until I just read his obituary. I will miss him and know he is happy to be with his late wife. God bless and rest in peace!

Michael....sending our condolences for your loss. Your relationship with both of your parents was so filled with love. Including them in your summer weeks at Misquamicut and taking care of them at home are examples of your devotion to your parents. They will rest in peace together knowing they have a wonderful son.

I worked with Dick at GE in the wire mill in the 70´s. We had a good time and made work fun! Rest in peace Dick.

Got to know the "duck" while delivering his mail and found out him and my dad were in the Guards and worked at GE together and were pretty good friends. Always enjoyed chewing the fat with him and quickly realized that he had more energy than any 3 people I ever met and a stories to go with it. I would call him from time to time after I retired and hear "your nickel" as his way of answering the call. Good memories of both him and Jean. He will be missed.
