My son was a roommate of Dick's in the hospital and my son was 17.
Dick soothed him and assured him that everything would be O.K.
He also assured me and promised to look after him. What a kind and gentle man. I lived on the street his son lived on. Went to his funeral, also a kind young man.

My deepest sympathy to Caroline Swegel and her family. I knew you when you first met Dick!! What a good match he was for you. When he got sick.... I watched you take the steps to make sure he was well cared for and loved!! I applaud you as the sweet person that you are and the kindness your girls in supporting you in your care for him. He was truly a lucky man!! Bless you and yours!!

Dickie, you were very competitive on the golf course and a very smart poker player. I never beat you on the course and only rarely at the table!! You will certainly be missed.
