Robert "Bob" Baccaro

1953 - 2025

Robert "Bob" Joseph Baccaro,72, of Dalton, passed away on October 9, 2025 at his home following a brief illness. Born in New Britain, CT, on June 26, 1953, Bob was the son of Steve and Louise Sokolowski Baccaro. He graduated from Berlin High School and Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Bob worked for a variety of manufacturing companies as a Production Manager.

He was a proud member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at WPI. Bob was a Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity volunteer for many years. He enjoyed being an avid golfer, and loved fishing both by himself or with friends and family. Some of his other hobbies were taking trips, playing cribbage, and amateur meteorology. Bob was a loyal Yankees, Giants, and Patriots fan and loved watching old movies.

Bob is survived by his partner of 16 years, Carolyn Valli, son Brian Baccaro (Virginia), daughter Brenna Baccaro (Yves), mother Louise Baccaro, sisters Linda Baccaro and Martha Stockman (Donald), mother-in-law Elizabeth Bell Erb, and his grandchildren, Isabelle and Nora and Simon. Bob was predeceased by his wife Lorene Erb Baccaro, who passed away in 2003, and his father Steven Baccaro.

Funeral Notice:

Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Baccaro will be Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11am at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Dalton. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4pm-6pm at Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 525 Main St., Dalton MA 01226.
