Robert Bailot Obituary

Robert E. Bailot, 74, of 3 Myrtle St., Adams, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, in Berkshire Medical Center, of lung cancer. He was admitted to BMC on April 6.
Born Oct. 3, 1929 in Adams, he was the son of Alfred F. and Mildred (Jepson) Bailot. He attended Adams public schools and was a 1947 graduate of the former Adams High School.
He was the owner/operator of a wholesale art company, selling paintings to commercial and professional institutions. He retired in 1987.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1947 and saw duty on the U.S.S. Callo EI5205. He was honorably discharged in 1950 with the rank of electronics mate third class.
He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams.
He leaves four sons, Michael Bailot of Sao Pallo, Brazil, Gerry Bailot and John Bailot of St. Louis, Mo., and Robert Bailot of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Pamela Braet of Wildwood, Mo., and Kathy Bailot of Valencia, Spain; a sister, Bernice Foster and her husband, William, of Rowe; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and his former wife, Joan (Franchini) Bailot of St. Louis.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- After cremation, an inurnment service for Robert Bailot will take place Saturday, May 1, noon, in Maple Street Cemetery, Adams.
The McBride Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
