Robert L. Fishell

1925 - 2017

Robert Lyle Fishell, 92, of 156 King Arthur Road, Becket, MA died peacefully in the company of his loving family March 22, 2017. Born February 21, 1925 in Grand Ledge, MI son of Anna Baumgarner and Lyle Robert Fishell and was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Ginny) Taylor Fishell in 2007.

Robert (Bob) served in WWII in the Navy as a Radioman Third Class. He was formally trained for Service in Noroton Heights, Darien, CT where he met and married his wife, Ginny (1947). They have three children, Nancy, Lyle and Marjorie (Maggie).

Bob and his wife (Ginny) moved to Stamford, CT in 1960 where Bob worked as a car salesman for Healy Buick and then Minchin Buick. He was instrumental in the creation of Cove Island Park and Kiwanis Park, and served as president of the Stamford Kiwanis Club. Bob and Ginny, moved to Becket, MA in the early 90s where Bob worked part- time for Abbotts Limousine.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Nancy, husband, Rev. Howard Seip of Becket, MA; his son, Lyle, wife Jantine Harthoorn and grand daughters, Marl na and Annalise Fishell of Stamford, CT; and daughter, Maggie of Bern, Switzerland; sister, Lucille Heslop of Lincoln, NE; and brother, Russell Fishell of Phoenix, AZ. He was predeceased by brother, Richard Fishell of Eagle, MI.

SERVICES: A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at 156 King Arthur Road, Becket, MA 2:00 pm.
