Stella D. Carlow
1918-2010 NORTH ADAMS Stella Dumouchel Carlow, 92, of 53 Walker St., North Adams, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams, on Mar. 13, 1918, a daughter of the late Telesphore Dumouchel and Delia A. Chenail Dumouchel, she attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School completing it's commercial course.
She was employed by the late Dr. Dumouchel. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was active in the "Le Cercle Francais" and a member of the Rosary Society at St. Francis Church
She was the widow of John J. Carlow, whom she married on June 14, 1941. He died on Aug. 16, 2002.
She leaves two sons, Dennis J. Carlow of Conrad, N.H., and Thomas B. Carlow and his wife, Noella, of Adams; one daughter, Madeleine Carlow of Williamstown; four grandchildren, Tami Carlow-Ill and her husband, Perry, of Virginia, Shawn Carlow and his wife, Yuki, of Los Angeles, Calif., Jennifer Carlow of Framingham, Mass., and Elizabeth Ferris and her husband, Craig, of Clarksburg, Mass., two great-grandchildren, Shea and McKenna Ill of Virginia; two Sisters, Freda Marriott of Plymouth, N.H., and Gloria Phelps and her husband, Lawrence, of North Adams; nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, Lionel and Donald Dumouchel
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will take place Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Elizabeth's Church through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
