PITTSFIELD -- Therese Bannon, 77, of 5855 Broadmoor Bluffs Drive, Colorado Springs, Colo., a native of Pittsfield, died Monday at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.
Born on Nov. 7, 1927, daughter of James E. and Madeline Fitzgerald Cullen, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Bannon was employed by GE.
She was a communicant of St. Paul's Church and a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
She leaves two daughters, Colleen Bannon Kasch of Colorado Springs and Patricia Bannon Hays of Columbia, S.C.; three sons, James T. Bannon III of McHenry, Ill., Michael Bannon of Tustin, Calif., and Daniel Bannon of Carlsbad, Calif.; two sisters, Kay McCutcheon of West Barnstable and Madeline Simpson of Southampton; a brother, Gerard Cullen of Moultonboro, N.H., and 11 grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Therese Cullen Bannon, 77, who died Aug. 1, 2005, will be celebrated Saturday at 9 at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. Joachim Minja. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in West Stockbridge. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. She also is survived by a son-in-law, Rick Kasch, and three daughters-in-law, Marilyn Bannon, Elvira Bannon and Deb Bannon. She, her seven siblings and their mother and father all worked for GE in Pittsfield. Therese was an extremely devoted and involved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had an intensely adventurous and mischievous spirit that inspired all who were graced by her presence.
