Veronica Balardini Obituary

Veronica "Ronny" J. Dausch Balardini, 84, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, one day shy of her 85th birthday. Ronny was born in Hartford, CT on August 26, 1940, to the late William and Mary Flynn Dausch. She moved to Pittsfield in 1955 to live with her Aunt Lena and Uncle John Ray. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1958.

Ronny married Thomas E. Balardini, Sr., on November 19, 1960. Ronny is survived by husband Thomas and her three children: Thomas E. Balardini, Jr., (Esther), Mary Beth Batanglo (David) and David Balardini (James Lucie). Five grandchildren, Jackie Batanglo Rudd (Nate), Nicholas Batanglo, Thomas Balardini III (Betsy), Taren Balardini Mickle (Travis) and Trae Balardini (Christine). Six great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Nora, Savannah, Cameron, Ethan and Thomas. Ronny is also survived by her identical twin sister Elizabeth Dausch Salerno (George) and brother William Dausch, Jr., (Liz), brother-in-law James Balardini (Karen), numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Theresa Palmeri and Mary Lou Wartschow.

Ronny was an active member of the St Agnes Catholic Community, book club, Red Hats and bridge groups. She worked for many years at Wahconah High School, Pittsfield Sand and Gravel and was the bookkeeper for her husband's business, TE Balardini, Inc.

Ronny enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She made wonderful memories by traveling the world with her friends and family. She always looked forward to her next adventure. She even went sky diving with her granddaughter. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending their school and sporting events and was so proud to be GiGi to her six great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ronny will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Agnes Church, 489 Main Street, Dalton, MA. Burial will follow at Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 Main Street, Dalton, will be Monday, September 1, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Agnes Academy in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home.
