William Bloomingdale Obituary

PITTSFIELD - William J. Bloomingdale, 68, of Northampton, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, Pa.
He was the husband of Bonnie J. Jennings, with whom he celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this past February.
Born in Pittsfield, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Angeline Zaffner Bloomingdale.
William was employed by the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Twsp. as a tech-partner in the intensive care unit for two years. Prior to that, he was a systems analyst in several states for over 30 years, locally at the Martin Towers for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring.
He served his country in the Navy from 1958 to 1962.
Surviving along with his wife, Bonnie, are two sons, William H. Bloomingdale of Northampton, Pa., Scott R. Racine and his wife, Jessica, of New Tripoli, Pa.; one brother, Walter and his wife, Yolandi Bloomingdale, of Tolleson Ariz.; two sisters, Jean E. and her husband, Anthony Aulisio, of Pittsfield, and Shirley A. and her husband, Michael Samale, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Services are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067, where the family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to N.A.M.I., The National Association of Mental Illness, c/o the funeral home.
