I don't think that one could think about Bill without hearing music... songs rapidly changing, as he had to make sure he played many for you, although you rarely got to hear an entire song! I always looked forward to going over to visit as not only was his music beautiful, but he was also a wealth of information and an amusing teacher!! I learned so much from him!! I can picture him with a big smile on his face as he waited for that certain spot in the song where the music was just right... "hear that, hear that?" he would say smiling and in a blink he was off to the next song!! If he was not playing music, he was chasing people around with his movie camera!! He was very talented and made great home movies of family gatherings, holidays and weddings! I was blessed to have him take movies of our wedding that I absolutely treasure!!! I loved him and will miss him!! I will treasure the many years of memories that I have!! Steve and I send our love to Carol, Bobby, Billy Rick and the family!
Much Love,

Carol, Bobby, Billy, Ricky... I am thinking of all of you, and have tremendous empathy for each one of you are going through right now. I pray for peace and understanding for the whole family. You know this but it's important to say even so... Uncle Bill will forever be an important part of my life. You know that. And all of you too! Many, many years have passed since all our family gatherings. But I'll never forget what they were like - and how good they were! Uncle Bill, Aunt Mary and Dad all shared a very special bond together. The grew up in very, very difficult circumstances and yet they stuck together and even ended up looking after each other and their parents as well. I'll never forget the lessons learned from all that. And all the fun memories... Listening to Uncle Bill play music for hours and hours at your house, horsing around, watching boxing matches on TV with Dad and Uncle Bill at our house, going out with the two of them in the early early mornings to deliver papers and then have breakfast. But most of all, I remember Uncle Bill being the one person to get Dad laughing to the point of tears. All the time. I don't recall anyone else able to get him to do that at will! "Uncle Donny" loved your Dad, and so did we. I'll be back home Tuesday and Wednesday to be with you and the family. So I'll see you then.

With Love,

Patrick Laughran
