Debbie Teichert (Daughter in Law)

I´ve known no other person other than my own dad, who struggled with serious health problems, but did so with so much courage and strength. Bill was so very lucky to have a wonderful wife as Harriett, to help him thru his challenges over the last few years.
To have such a loving family such as Ruth, his former wife and their children together, Tracy, Steve, Debbie, Bobby and Lisa, is a special gift to have that type of loving support.
He left a path for others to follow that will continue to be a way through the darkest of times. For me personally, he was an outstanding example of how "not" to let MS win!
I love you Poppy. Bobby and I, will keep your memories by remembering and speaking of you often.

It has been over 60 years since Bill and I served together on USS The Sullivans (DD-537) . I know that Bill had a long and varied career after leaving the Navy, but as a former shipmate I still want to wish him "fair winds and following seas". As for his family, I know that the good memories that all of you have of him will sustain you during this difficult period.

To Bill´s dear wife,
We were so sad to read this. We loved Bill and remember him fondly as the "keeper of the gate" at Craneville Place. He would always greet us with a firm grip and loving smile. We truly enjoyed talking with you both. It´s amazing how you grow to love complete strangers in that setting. We´re keeping you and the family in our prayers.
