Roy E. Briley
WINDSOR - Roy E. Briley 86, of Grabtown Road, Windsor passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side
Roy was retired from R&W Chevrolet and The Enterprise. In his prime he spent his days fishing, golfing, driving a race car, go kart racing, watching Nascar, wood working and you could always find him on his lawn mower cutting grass.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Louise Briley; daughters Kathy Copeland of Windsor and Pat Mizelle of Grifton; grandchildren, Brandi Willams (Jason), Braxton Copeland (Kayla), Gavin Mizelle (Sarah) and Braelin Paterson (Quentin) and great grandchildren,Regan Copeland, Lileigh Copeland, Jarrett Williams and Garrett Paterson. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Open Door Church- Bertie Campus. The family will receive friends following the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided during this difficult time.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gentiva Hospice and Bertie County Humane Society.
