Dorothea Schwaiger Obituary

Dorothea E. Schwaiger
Dorothea Elizabeth Schwaiger, died at home in West Linn, OR May 1, 2025. She was born September 9, 1936, in Kansas City, MO. Her husband of 60 years, Donald Rupert Schwaiger, predeceased her in 2011. She leaves behind her son, Keith Schwaiger (Debbie), her daughter, Karen Harrington (Danny), five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a large extended family of brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She and Don retired to Big Bear Lake and loved the friendly beautiful community. Dody spent many years on the board of the Big Bear Community Hospital Auxiliary, receiving the Honorary Service Award in 2004. She and Don were active members of Big Bear Elks Lodge, including the Rovers, frequently traveling with the group.
Memorial will be held Saturday, September 6 in West Linn, Oregon; contact Karen Harrington for details. In lieu of
flowers, please consider donations to https:// carepartnersor.org, her loving palliative and hospice care support
team or https:// k9sforwarriors.org, serving our vets and pets needing homes.
