Adeline Marie Knapp 84 passed away peacefully Wednesday July 23, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.
Marie was born October 09, 1940 in Lakeview to Hugh and Gladys Edgerly.
Marie was proceeded in death by her loving husband Dale of 47 years. Her son Henry Hazen of Chippewa Lake and daughter Mary Ann of Evart.
Siblings Milford, Mary, Amy, Hugh and Morris.
Marie is survived by one sister Donna (Robert) Bailey of Charlotte. Her children Theadore Knapp of Rogers Heights and Kevin (Beatrice) Knapp Sr. Of Reed City. Daughters Karen (Brian) Cool of LeRoy, Kathy (Donald) Lenz of Ludington, and Nancy of Florida. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marie spent her working career in Reed City at Wolverine World Wide, Nabco and McDonald's until finally retiring from H & D Chuckwagon as a hostess.
She was a long time member of the Reed City Moose Lodge 705 and could always be found volunteering for many of their social events and fundraisers where she proudly held the title of "Miss Moose" by her fellow moose members, and friends.
Marie always enjoyed sitting at her kitchen table over coffee and conversation. Often playing cards with family and many of her "adopted" children.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on August 09, 2025 from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Reed City Moose Lodge 705.
