Amy Lynn Kim (1979-2023)
Amy Lynn (Eastley) Kim of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away recently following a lengthy illness. She was born November 19, 1979 and spent the early years of her life in Big Rapids, Michigan. In 1998, Amy graduated from Big Rapids High School where she starred in track and tennis. She earned a Bachelor's degree in math and computer science from CMU, an M.S. in applied math from MSU and an M. A. in statistics from the University of Kansas. She worked as a data scientist for Commerce Bank and an adjunct professor for KU. Amy was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Janice Eastley, and is survived by her husband, Chin Kim, daughter Alexandra Kim, her sister and best friend Sarah Eastley, her father Robert Eastley, nephew Jackson Gunter, as well as many members of her extended family. Amy loved skiing, traveling and spending time at the lake. Her greatest joy was spending time with friends and family. Funeral arrangements will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amy's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
