Charles (Charlie/Dad) Rutherford, age 90 of Grant Township, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones and his beloved dog Miryra.
He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. in the Korean War and spent his retirement years fishing and enjoying his peace with his son Clyde and his close friends and family.
A special thank you to those who came to Charles' side; including: Junebug, Ron, and Larry. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Hersey party Store for taking care of Charlie's lottery needs, and to extend their appreciation to Elara Caring Hospice of Big Rapids, to Carelinc, and to the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home.
Charles will be cremated; memorial contributions or donations in his name can be made to his son Clyde Rutherford for after death expenses.
